After an awesome night's sleep we walked down to the river and along to the French Quarter, stopping for a great coffee on the way.
Booked a couple of touristy things - a ghost walk for tonight and swamp tour for tomorrow - then wandered the markets and streets of the FQ, blown away by the beautiful architecture and wonderful atmosphere.
Got some gator bites in the market early, which were disappointing, then later got po' boys which were too delicious for words.
Spent an emotional hour in the museum...
..looking at the detailed Katrina exhibition - really unbelievable stuff - then got on the ghost tour.
Our guide was brilliant, and the stories more true crime than ghost - gruesome stuff, and fascinating. Lots to read into in more detail...
Found ourselves some dinner, but again rather disappointing, before jumping in a cab home.
